Online Learderboards and Rewards!

Hello Everyone!!

Today has been a very productive today for me! I have added in Amazon GameOn support! This means we can run tournaments for real life or in game prizes! To start things off we will have a monthly leader board where the top 20 players will be rewarded with 300 shields (the currency you use to unlock things within the game! Eventually once things take off a bit more we may throw in some small real life prizes!

How Does It Work?

Next time you launch the game you should be greeted with a new screen asking you to inputa username for your account! This will be what shows up on all leader-boards! Eventually I plan on adding the option to rename your account, but for now this name will be stuck with you so choose wisely!

After reaching wave 20 your score will be updated and sent to the leader boards. Every wave completed after after this point will update your score, this is done to prevent spamming the leader boards with scores! Currently there is no way to check your score, this is something I am working on right now so all players can see the leader board. I am fully expecitng there to be some issues with this update as it is a major change and a major upgrade that will more than likely have some issues introduced with it. One particular issue has already been spotted but there is an easy fix as it seems to only be an issue right after updating for some users to fix a crash at wave 20 try the following:

Go to "C:\Users\(YOUR USER NAME HERE)\AppData\Local\plague_breakers" and delete all files that appear there, unfortunately this will reset your shield balance and amazon login credentials so save this for only a last ditch effort as this would result in you losing your rewards if you earned any from your score!!!
